Household Hazardous Waste

Abbotsford Community Services Recycling Program accepts Household Hazardous Waste as a part of the Product Care Program.

Household Hazardous Waste must be dropped off at the Abbotsford or Mission Depot.

Acceptable Residential Household Hazardous Waste (free of charge):

Car Batteries
Non-Rechargeable Household Batteries
Rechargeable Batteries
Fluorescent Light Tubes
Compact Fluorescent Bulbs
Smoke Detectors
CO2 Detectors
Household Paint Cans (with or without residue)
Paint Aerosol Cans (with or without residue)
Flammable liquids (must display flammable symbol)
Domestic Pesticide (must display poison symbol and ‘pest control product’ PCP registration number)
Gasoline (must be returned in an approved UCL container, maximum 25 litres)
